Surfacing Solution
WOOD TAMBOUR PANELS
Tambour is a grooved decorative interior surfacing material with a range of options ranging from solid woods, real wood veneers and brushed metallic panels. The grooving provides a unique decorative look as well as allows the panels to have flexibility for ease in designing curves and angles both inward and outward. Tambour is a decorative element used on walls, ceilings, millwork, case goods, column wraps & more.
Surfacing Solution provides the highest quality control process, hand laying and assembling each panel. Sorting and matching color to the natural color variation of the wood species provides a very consistent grain color throughout the panels. Highest-quality slats are applied to a flexible backing with a permanent pressure-sensitive adhesive.
Material is provided unfinished, and is to be finished by the installation contractors.
Typical lead time is 4-6 weeks with some in stock materials.

NEW THERMALLY MODIFED TAMBOUR PANELS - Suitable for both interior and exterior applications. Thermal modification is a process of heating the wood in kilns. This reduces the natural sugars and moisture content in the wood, resulting a more stable and long lasting product, which may be used on exterior applications. Thermal modification also darkens the wood color to natural rich tones, the darkening is varied, depending on time in the kiln.
NEW COORDINATING TAMBOUR TRIM PIECES FOR ALL PROFILES
CLASS A FIRE RATING - If your tambour project requires a Class A Fire Rating, Surfacing Solution recommends Flame Stop II, a water-based fire retardant and wood preservative. This may be applied by Surfacing Solution or your installer.
